An accomplished player, finishing consistently well in the annual Illinois PGA points race.
Tim’s Teaching Approach: Understand Why a Ball Flies Where It Does.
“It is important for my students to understand why a ball flies where it does, how to interpret the sensations they feel while swinging, and to work on the most important aspects of their games that will improve their scores.”
“I’ve watched a lot of people teach, and talked swing theory with many fellow competitors, teammates, and high-profile instructors. Every swing theorist has contributed to my overall understanding.”
“It’s important to understand you’re not driving a nail with a hammer. Golf is a swinging motion through the ball at the target.”

My overall teaching philosophy is to keep it simple as well as incorporate the latest technology tools like Flight Scope and V1 software. Each student engages in golf with different goals in mind, my job is to provide the instruction to help students ultimately achieve their goals.“
“I try to work from the ground up with all my students, starting with the ball and working upward. I also like to work from the green toward the tee. I like to balance each lesson with visual, audio, and kinesthetic learning styles.”

Teaching Approach: Sound and Yet Simple
“Making the golf swing fundamentally sound and yet simple is my goal. Everyone takes a lesson at a different stage in his or her game, and it’s important to make sure that a student is given the correct instruction so as to improve to the next plateau.”
“Practice after the lesson is vitally important, too. There are no quick fixes in golf, just repeating the correct swing until it becomes second nature. Then you can forget about your swing mechanics and concentrate on the object of the game … getting the ball into the hole in the fewest possible strokes.”
